Follow these Steps to setup Google Authenticator

Go to your WordPress instance and log in as an administrator.

Now, Click on the miniOrange 2-factor plugin visible in the menu to the left.

Here, you can see the Authentication methods available in the free version of the miniOrange 2-factor plugin. Click on the Configure button underneath the Google Autheticator tile.

At the Configuration Page:

Select Google Authenticator from the given dropdown list.

Click on the provided link to install the Google Authenticator app or install it from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

The Google Authenticator App keeps security keys of multiple accounts; this can lead to confusion when identifying the secret key to use with the plugin, So miniOrange provides a feature to customize App name for the google-authenticator. Customize your name in the text field highlighted and then click on the Save App Name button.

Now, open the Google Authenticator app on your phone and select Scan a QR code.

After that, scan the given QR code with Authenticator app and enter the security code textbox provided, click on the Verify and Save button for verification.

Here, You can see a successful check.

After this setup, Google authenticator gets prompted as a second security layer when logging into WordPress.

For any new login you need to enter the security code shown in the authenticator app and click on the Validate button to login to the site.

Now your account is secure and only after verification will you be able to log in.
