Import Users from Active Directory

miniOrange provides add-ons for our Joomla LDAP Active Directory plugin, which allows organizations to easily import and synchronize user data between Active Directory and their Joomla site. These add-ons enable organizations to effortlessly import and synchronize Joomla users with their Active Directory, ensuring that user data stays consistently updated across both platforms without requiring manual registration and updates.

Steps to Import Users from Active Directory:

• Access the LDAP Provisioning Tab:
  • Log in to your Joomla admin panel.
  • Click on the LDAP Provisioning tab.
• Initiate the Import Process:
  • In the LDAP Provisioning section, locate the Import Users button.
  • Click on the Import Users button to start the import process.
• Monitor the Import Progress:
  • A loader will appear, indicating that the import process is underway.
  • Wait for the process to complete. You will be notified once the import is finished.
• Verify User Creation and Updates:
  • After the import process is complete, new users from Active Directory will be created in Joomla.
  • Existing users will be updated with any new information retrieved from Active Directory.Existing users will be updated with any new information retrieved from Active Directory.
• Review Imported Users:
  • Check the Users section in the Joomla admin panel to confirm that new users have been added and existing users have been updated correctly.
  • Ensure that all user data (e.g., usernames, and emails) has been imported accurately.
