Restrict Access based on State

Feature Description

The Restrict Access Based on State feature allows store owners to control access to specific parts of their store based on a visitor's geographic location. This is ideal for region-specific product availability, compliance with local regulations, exclusive state-based promotions, or restricting access to certain content.

Merchants can apply state-based restrictions to various store elements, ensuring that only users from selected regions can view or interact with them.

Setup Instructions
  • Navigate to the Apps >> LockOn- Restrict Store application.

  • Click on the Create lock button.

    Click on Create Lock

  • Provide a name for your lock.

  • Choose which parts of your Shopify store you want to lock from the options provided.

  • In the Control Access section, select State as the lock criteria. Choose the states you want to restrict or allow access from, ensuring that only users from the specified regions can view the store content. Select whether to Allow or Restrict access for visitors from the chosen country.

  • Choose what happen when unauthorized user try to access locked content. You can either redirect them to login page, any store page, any URL or show them custom HTML code.

  • You can apply the lock immediately or schedule it to activate at a specific time. Set a custom duration for the lock to automatically restrict or reopen access based on your store's needs.

  • Click on Save.
